Caramel Apple Scones
Gluten-free, dairy-free, and naturally sweetened, with a keto-friendly option!
This scone recipe was one we were so excited to create and it turned out SO good!! A delicious apple scone topped with a homemade natural caramel icing! A great healthy breakfast or snack option, this recipe comes with two options, the standard - naturally sweetened with maple syrup - or the keto option which uses a natural low carb sweetener blend.
Makes 8-12 scones.
What you'll need:
One egg, a mixing bowl, and a baking sheet. Parchment paper or a silicone mat are recommended but not required
Ingredients (standard option)
Almond flour, arrowroot flour, organic coconut flour, organic maple syrup, organic virgin coconut oil, organic coconut milk, apples, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, vanilla.
Glaze: organic coconut sugar, organic coconut milk, vanilla.
Ingredients (keto option)
Almond flour, arrowroot flour, organic coconut flour, organic virgin coconut oil, organic coconut milk, apples, ground flax, ground chia, xanthan gum, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, monk fruit/erythritol blend, stevia, vanilla.
Glaze: monk fruit/erythritol blend, cinnamon, organic coconut milk, vanilla.
